I have been struck by the cooking bug. I made some old fashioned custard some to go to my 94 year old neighbor.  Then I made a homemade pumpkin/chocolate chip bread. My sister in law is bringing me fresh eggs. And my daughter loves it.
And I sewed this morning making micro wave bowls. Few people want some. Try making a couple, please use 100% cotton batting, material and thread. Other material may catch fire in micro wave.
Then go to Dollar store and get a cereal bowl, they have some nice ones different colors. I match up some color in the micro bowl to the bowl at Dollar store. Fill with can of soup and those little packages of Ritz crackers or any you can find. Wrap with cellophane and tie. Tah Dah, Christmas gift for someone. Fill with candy or cookies too if you want.
I have clothes to fold, dishes to do and some vacuuming to do. Wonder how long I can hold that off!
Oh Oh I just coughed! Well if I am sick  I can't do any of that!

And what are you trying to avoid this beautiful morning ?

I have hope of getting pictures on this blog soon, am halfway there.
I also want to do that thing for everyone so they can see me?  Whatever it is.

Well another week has gone by. Loved the weather. Made home made applesauce for a great granddaughter. Cleaned (A little ) in my sewing room. I m having a hard time finishing a baby quilt.
I need a switch to my back side I guess. My brothers used to get that when they drove my mother crazy. Me? you say? I was the only girl with 7 brothers, no not spoiled, I was brought up cooking cleaning  etc. No time to get in trouble.

Ever have one of those bad days? Aching or just plain old depressed? Both those come with old age I think. Had one this weekend, just could not get thru the day, spent couple hours in bed reading.
But next day was up and at 'em again. I think we all have to have a bad day once in a while in order to appreciate the good days.

Am cutting 2.5 " squares for a Halloween table topper. Its slow going for me for some reason.
Not good at picking out material, always second guessing myself. Well may try to get my trusty friend to post it here when done.

And how has your day/ week gone? Good or bad it is gone and a new week begins.

Bye for now...………...

Good morning...…….on this 42 degree morning in Taunton, Ma. Temperature due to go up to 66 degrees. I am NOT gonna put the heat on! Socks, sweatshirts, flannel pants are the dress of the day.
I love sewing, but this week haven't done much. We have been busy with errands and just plain old housework. I do have a couple mug rugs planned and a baby quilt to put together this weekend.
I have hopes of posting some pictures this weekend.
This time of the year I am getting ready to make Apple Butter and some apple sauce. One of my Great grand daughters loves the apple butter, but I have to make small jars and dish them out here and there. The sugar you know!  I also usually make Jewish Apple Cake for the family. It is an old recipe my mother got from someone she worked with back in the 80"s. It may now be floating around in the internet, will have to look it up. No grape jelly this year son,s grape arbor just didn't produce this year...……….Well that is my Friday"What am I doing" tale. Have a nice weekend!

Hi, my name is Jacky, I am from Massachusetts. This is a new thing for me..So have patience with me? I am married, have 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren.
I love quilting and sewing, alright I love my husband too.
I just finished a small table topper from a pattern from Quilters Cache. Go to the alphabetized list of free patterns and find  "Peppermint Spinners".  Very easy. Any color will work or maybe scrappy, whatever you want. I don't yet know how to post pictures so can't show you mine. I am very fond of Quilters Cache. It was one of the first sites I went to years ago.
Well, I will leave at this point, no I am not leaving the Internet! I am going to Pinterest! My very bestest place right now! You may be hearing of my doing so "stuff" from there one of these days.

Have a good day
